Open days in the Regional Chaber
The regional chamber is situated in The Folk House built in 1947. The collection was started in 1964 and contains: furniture, household equipment, ceremonial art (Christmas cribs, Christmas tree balls, dolls, and more), paintings, decorated boxes, regional and ceremonial costumes, photos, chronicles, publications, archaeological and geological finds.

Open days in Young Poland Museum „Rydlówka”
„Rydlówka” was built in 1894 w 1894 r. for the painter artist Włodzimierz Tetmajer, who afterwards sold it to Lucjan Rydel. The house became a scene of the famous drama’s plot – “The Wedding” by Stanisław Wyspiański. In 1969 the museum was created here.

Oświęcim
14 September – Open Day at the Jewish Museum and at the synagogue
Before the Holocaust Jewish were the majority in the Oświęcim. Since generations, Jewish merchants, rabbis, doctors and lawyers have been setting up their homes here and were creating rich and diverse culture. The Holocaust ended this vibrant and prosperous period.
In September 2000 the centre in Oświęcim was officially opened. The centre is a NGO and its purpose is to protect and promote memory of the Jewish inhabitants of the town, and also education of next generations about the world that vanished irretrievably in the Holocaust. Its important role is also education for tolerance.

13-14 September - „RETURN TO THE PATRIMONY” performance of bands „Tarnowiczanki” and „Waliszowianie”; historical seminar „Return to the patrimony”, „Soldiers of Hetman Jan Tarnowski”, „Settlers from Obertyn”; exhibition opening: “Where is a village like this” and museum visit; meeting with descendants of Tarnów inhabitants took away by hetman Tarnowski; regional food tasting.

Open days in Ethnographical Museum
During the EHD the Ethnographical Museum opens the exhibition presenting the history of Tarnowica Polna village, since the half of 19th century until today. Preserved photos shows the festive days of the inhabitants – weddings, first Holy Communions, inaugurations of the school, pilgrimages, feasts… A lot of photos present the time of deportations to Siberia, and war fights, and also the times of settlement on the Western territories, mostly Nowy Waliszów, and other towns and villages. Apart of the photos exhibited are: documents, memories, regional costumes, religious paintings, work tools, and other items – preserved as a family souvenirs in private houses and as a Wroclaw Ethnographical Museum collection.

Wygiełzów
13-14 September – Open days and free visits in nadwiślański Ethnographical Park in Wygiełzów.
The exhibition: “Cracow wedding”, with the leitmotif of regional costume, which, being a peasant costume, became the national dress. It serves to present the idea of this year’s EHD, the transformation from symbolic home to homeland.
The heritage park is placed at the foot of the Zamkowa Mountain covered with beech forest, with the Medieval bishops castle on its peak (preserved as a ruin). The park dates back to 1968 and is composed of wooden buildings coming from both riversides of Vistula – farms with orchards and gardens, furnished with original tools and furniture. In the western part of the park the small town complex is located.

Open days in Orawski Ethnographical Park
Orawski Ethnographical Park is the most important cultural institution on Orawa Górna. The priceless monuments of wooden architecture, and folk art are gathered here.
